A 244 page catalogue produced in separate English (red) and Portuguese (blue) language editions to accompany the Serralves Museum exhibition about Portuguese painter Paula Rego.
Even though I always ask, it's not always possible to meet with the artist before working on a catalogue. On this occasion, because of the importance of the exhibition, I travelled to London to be with Paula in her Camden studio. Because so much of the success of a catalogue depends on faithful reproduction it was important to see the works in person and to check them against the colour proofs that I had ordered. It was also important to get her approval and to be able to talk about the general design of the catalogue.
